The Turkish GP last Sunday was one of the most boring races that I've seen (if you don't count the previous Monaco GP as THE most boring), apart from the first lap incident (if you can call it that). F1 is supposed to be full of breath-taking manoeuvres and overtaking and the radical measures undertaken by FIA for the 2009 season (including KERS) are supposed to 'aid' overtaking.
Though the initial portents were promising, what with Button winning the first 2 and Vettel the 3rd race of the 2009 season. That initial excitement is starting to peter out with Button (almost) buttoning up the championship by winning 6 of the 7 races held so far.
When we look back at the 7 races this season, it becomes eerily apparent that this season is becoming very similar to the 2004 season, when one Michael Schumacher won everything under the sun (well almost!).
I say give me a break! If the idea of F1 is to see the field of 19 cars following Button around every circuit, then it's curtains for F1, at least for me. I'd readily accept a Federer-Soderling match up without any arguments or even a Wigan Athletic Vs. Hull City (EPL) readily.
I hope (desperately) though that it won't come to that and the Ferraris or the Mclarens or even the Toyotas (or any team for that matter) would pick up the gauntlet and go raacccciiiiiinnnnnnng!
